DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI with CI Poly)

About the position

Be part of a small, agile scrum team responsible for the deployment and management of a private high-performance compute (HPC) system. This team is part of a multi-team agile release train that develops and deploys applications supporting space domain awareness. Create and maintain automated, repeatable environment creation and configuration (Infrastructure as Code) scripts using ansible, chef, or similar tools. Leverage OpenStack and Kubernetes to configure, monitor, and maintain this private cloud environment. Create and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using leading open-source offerings, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.io. Monitor, Predict, Update, and Resolve issues at all levels, from bare-metal operating systems to deployed applications. You’ll apply your skills within a DevSecOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions. Further your skills and explore different ways of solving our client's challenges. Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain multiple DevOps pipelines.
• Implement CD & CI solutions to support rapid development and integration.
• Integrate static code analysis and other security mechanisms into pipeline.
• Design and apply hybrid deployment strategy (cloud and local virtualized).
• Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related discipline.
• 4 years’ additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 5+ years of Industry related experience minimum.
• Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git.
• CI & CD development experience with technologies like Bash, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Experience with automated deployment technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Custom source and Open-source application deployments and maintenance.
• Linux system administration experience (RedHat and/or Rocky).
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, web services and SQL databases.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Top Secret SCI with a CI Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in hybrid cloud or hyperconverged environments.
• Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML.
• Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
• Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
