About the position

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract. This role involves working across various cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle to modernize a multi-cloud environment critical for USAF missions. The position is hybrid remote, requiring candidates to work onsite as needed, with a focus on system resiliency, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Implement DevOps capabilities, processes, and tools for various cloud platforms.
• Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications.
• Develop, execute, and troubleshoot automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive consistency for deployment and build processes.
• Develop strategy and integration methodology for cloud-based solutions.
• Enable quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
• Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a Master's degree with no experience; additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
• US citizenship required.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools.
