About the position

The DevOps Engineer at BI is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and reliability of applications and services. This role collaborates closely with development, operations, and security teams to optimize system performance and automate deployment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, deploys, and manages scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
  • Monitors and optimizes system performance.
  • Collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment and reliability of applications.
  • Provides quality product delivery and customer service in all situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
  • Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, or ELK stack.
  • Strong development coding or scripting automation experience.
  • Working knowledge of database fundamentals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Strong focus on business outcomes and project completion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
  • Understanding of network concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards.
