About the position

The DevOps Engineer role is focused on automating and optimizing the software development and release processes. The position requires a strong background in configuration management, CI/CD pipeline setup, and cloud technologies, with a specific emphasis on GitLab and related tools. The engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance platform solutions and ensure efficient release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and automate platform solutions to meet and exceed expectations
• Engineer tools and required infrastructure to create a seamless CI/CD release pipeline
• Proactively evolve and apply DevOps methodologies, standards, and leading practices
• Work with cross functional teams to scale key processes and functions
• Automate and improve development and release process
• Help prioritize production support issues and coordinate resolution efforts across functions
• Internal and external coordination and communication around releases
• Participate, contribute and drive discussions with key stakeholders

Requirements

• At least 6+ years of experience in Configuration Management
• Experience in creating CI/CD pipeline setup
• Expertise in GitLab
• Knowledge and experience in Configuration Management such as Ansible
• Cloud exposure, specifically OCI
• Experience in Docker and containerization
• Ability to setup CI/CD pipeline from scratch built around GitLab with automated testing
• Understanding of Terraform concepts

Nice-to-haves

• Terraform scripting experience
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence
