About the position

The DevOps Engineer at Hirsch is responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of products and services, blending technical expertise with team leadership and operational management. This role focuses on ensuring efficient and high-quality technology solutions while aligning team efforts with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic plans in alignment with the company's objectives, refining technical roadmaps and implementing processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the migration from manual AWS management to a fully automated Infrastructure as Code (IAC) approach.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of technological trends and provide technical guidance to teams.
  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes and implementing best practices.
  • Foster effective communication among internal teams and external partners.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate team and project performance.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with AWS.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Terraform.
  • Proven track record of adopting new technologies.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and project management expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience with IAC methodologies for infrastructure management.
  • Deep understanding of Git for version control.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong familiarity with Terraform for defining and provisioning infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with GitHub for source control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with IAC platforms like SpaceLift, Env0, Scalr, etc.
  • Experience with Disciplined Agile and DORA methodologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
