About the position

The DevOps Engineer will support the Census client by managing and improving CI/CD tools, monitoring systems, and ensuring high availability of services. This role requires collaboration with technical teams and the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team, utilizing Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with ELK Stack components.
• Manage, maintain, and improve CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, Jira).
• Manage, maintain, improve, and implement monitoring and alerting.
• Manage, maintain, and build highly available systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams.
• Work on projects using Agile methodologies.
• Equally comfortable working on a project team as well as independently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience.
• Familiar with ELK stack components (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash).
• Proficiency in at least one primary coding language (e.g., Java or Python).
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), virtualization, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated expertise in building scalable and high-performance software systems.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Jira.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and lead in a team environment.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software projects on time and within scope.
• AWS Certified.
• Agile/Scrum certification.
