About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in Parsippany, New Jersey. As part of our team in the Health Insurance industry, your primary role will be to utilize your skills to ensure the smooth operation and improvement of our systems. You will be tasked with maintaining customer applications, records, and resolving inquiries while also monitoring customer accounts. This position requires a proactive approach to managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our applications run efficiently and securely. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in DevOps, focusing on automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our operational capabilities and delivering high-quality services to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps/GitHub Action to ensure efficient and streamlined operations.
  • Maintain and manage Git flows, with a focus on accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform/ARM/Cloud formation.
  • Work with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent public cloud technologies, focusing on build, deployment, automation, networking, and security in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Apply your knowledge of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/S.
  • Utilize your understanding of Security best practices including the use of Key Stores, Certificates, and OAuth.
  • Work with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent Platform products such as Networking (Virtual Private Cloud, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect), Compute (Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions), Data (Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, BigTable, BigQuery, Storage), Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager), Containers (GKE, Cloud Run), Security (Cloud Identity, Certificate Authority Service, Secret Manager).
  • Apply your experience with automation tools like Ansible and Apache ANT+ for efficient and streamlined operations.
  • Use your skills in Amazon EC2, Apache Tomcat, Atlassian Jira, AWS Technologies, and Cluster Analysis to support the organization's goals.
  • Ensure continuous integration (CI) and configuration management for efficient operations and system updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in the Health Insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apache Tomcat, Atlassian Jira, and Automation is required.
  • Extensive experience with AWS Technologies.
  • Familiarity with Cluster Analysis and Configuration Management is essential.
  • Skilled in Continuous Integration (CI) and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are necessary.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing projects.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in DevOps is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to make strategic decisions are necessary.
