About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance its infrastructure and software development lifecycle (SDLC) tooling. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) systems, providing technical support, and ensuring adherence to security standards. The position is hybrid, requiring some in-office work in Cleveland, Ohio, and emphasizes continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery infrastructure, tools, and processes.
  • Plans, implements, and tests infrastructure changes via code or automated processes.
  • Facilitates ongoing technical support to internal customers, including onboarding and migration of software applications.
  • Provides tool, process, and technical support during all phases of the application lifecycle.
  • Researches new technologies and tools to improve software delivery efficiency and agility.
  • Ensures infrastructure components adhere to security standards and resolves findings on behalf of business partners.
  • Provides ownership, administration, and support of select system-wide technology solutions.
  • Solves moderately complex problems using existing solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related work experience or Associate's Degree with 5+ years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and practices.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS protocols, and familiarity with cloud networking concepts.
  • Experience in application monitoring and performance cost optimization of cloud resources.
  • Proficiency in operating systems and associated commands.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and secure programming techniques.
  • Basic understanding of cryptography and certificates.
  • SQL/database administration skills.
  • Experience with process automation and at least 2 different scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD orchestration software and Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to perform independent research and build strong professional relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
