About the position

EverDriven is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. This role focuses on developing DevOps tools and infrastructure while fostering a strong DevOps culture. The engineer will assess current infrastructure, drive an Infrastructure-as-Code mindset, and establish standards for building and deploying our platform primarily in Microsoft Azure. Collaboration with developers and other teams is essential to solve key infrastructure challenges and enable fully automated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical development of DevOps tools and solve Infrastructure related problems with code (with a focus on reusability)
  • Develop and mature our CI/CD architecture; automate and maintain the software development lifecycle including testing, builds, releases, and provisioning of development environments
  • Make releases as efficient as possible
  • Monitor and advise on our system’s performance and reliability
  • Support process improvement and integration groups as a subject matter expert in the field of DevOps
  • Mentor others in DevOps practices

Requirements

  • Experience as a DevOps engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Experience in .NET technologies, Azure Cloud, Azure Portal and Azure DevOps including App Insights, App Center, Service Fabric, ServiceBus, Function App, databases (managed database, SQL managed instance, SQL server), resource groups, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, networking, storage, dashboards
  • Experience in common DevOps toolsets (Git, YAML, PowerShell, NuGet, NPM, Docker, Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Previous experience implementing automated deployments for .NET/.NET Core, Java, NodeJS, Angular, React, C#, C++ and SQL software packages
  • Experience with other logging, monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting tools such as Datadog and Azure Log Analytics
  • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including documentation and notifications to team
