About the position

The Systems DevOps Engineer position at a telecommunication consulting company is a full-time, hybrid role based in the greater Boston area. The role focuses on managing and optimizing systems within AWS and/or Azure environments, with a strong emphasis on automation and data applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps practices, particularly in CI/CD automation, and will be proficient in Python and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain systems in AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Administer and configure applications and systems.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Experience with Azure or AWS maintenance.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and best practices.
• Application and System Administration experience.
• Proficient in Python.
• Familiarity with building and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field.
• Capable and self-directed.
• Exposure to Databricks.
• Experience with administering, configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows server environments (Active Directory) and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience with Docker.
