About The Position

The DevOps Engineer role at Hallmark's Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) focuses on bridging the gap between software development and IT operations. This position aims to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and automation within the software development lifecycle, ultimately accelerating software delivery while ensuring reliability and quality. DevOps Engineers will work in a high-energy, cross-functional team environment to deliver impactful digital solutions that drive consumer engagement and revenue growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of professional work experience.
• 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Software Developer.
• Experience with Terraform, Gitlab Pipelines, AWS, and Docker.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• 3 years of experience with SQL and Aurora Databases.
• 4 years of experience in Python, Java, and/or Ruby.
• 4 years of experience in scripting languages such as Bash and/or PowerShell.
• 4 years of experience in DevOps tools and technologies.
• 4 years of experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology.
• Familiarity with software development practices such as version control, code review, and testing.
• Experience in scripting languages to automate tasks and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
