About the position

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS services, for a premier banking client. This role involves extensive hands-on experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and security best practices. The position requires a strong background in DevOps practices and the ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with teams to deliver complex projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Designing and managing VPCs, subnets, security groups, NAT gateways, and VPNs.
  • Building and managing serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Managing infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Defining cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
  • Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Containerizing applications using Docker and managing them with Amazon ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
  • Setting up monitoring and logging using Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Implementing AWS security best practices, including IAM and KMS.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience managing production workloads on AWS.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining documentation for processes, systems, and infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of other cloud providers like Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with AWS cost optimization strategies.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional certification.
