About the position

The DevOps Engineer at Concept3D plays a crucial role in advancing DevOps practices to support multiple software engineering teams. This position requires practical experience in the development and maintenance of a cloud-based software platform, ensuring the uninterrupted availability of various applications. The role emphasizes collaboration, flexibility in processes, and strong communication skills to document and track changes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments for development, test, and production environments, create CI/CD pipelines
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux based systems
  • Manage manual and automated changes through Development, QA, and Production environments
  • Work closely with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
  • Actively participate in agile planning and release processes
  • Employ continuous learning to grow professional and domain expertise
  • Be available to support occasional deployments during after-hours maintenance windows
  • Provide occasional on-call support to quickly address and resolve critical production issues outside of regular business hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of industry best practices for DevOps in a cloud computing environment
  • Organized, methodical, and consistent
  • Desire to work on rich, interactive web applications in the cloud
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
  • Experience working with Docker based container deployments
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting
  • Experience with agile software development and working as part of a collaborative agile team
  • Motivated to automate manual tasks
  • Experience in an environment that follows CI/CD practices
  • Experience learning and using a variety of open-source technologies and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and can maintain consistency between development and production environments
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 or other security frameworks and experience with vulnerability scanning and/or application security testing
