About the position

As a DevOps Engineer at Humanyze, you will play a critical role in shaping our infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems. This position involves collaborating closely with the team to enhance deployment pipelines, monitor system performance, and address any issues that arise, all while working in a flexible remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all AWS resources, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and other relevant services.
  • Ensure compliance with security and policy requirements, including implementing best practices for cloud security, identity, and access management.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Automate and streamline deployment, scaling, and management processes for applications and infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support development and operations workflows.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery of applications and infrastructure.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure costs by analyzing usage patterns, rightsizing resources, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS features, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years work experience in software development
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, IT Engineer, or in a similar role with a focus on cloud infrastructure management.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Github Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks like SOC2, GDPR.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
