About the position

Verity Solutions, a Cigna Company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, Washington. This position is pivotal in supporting our mission to simplify the pharmaceutical supply chain processes for healthcare systems across the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, supporting, securing, and extending our industry-leading 340B SaaS platform. You will support core cloud infrastructure systems, including network, servers, Active Directory, and various operating systems. Your expertise in automation will be crucial as you design code-based solutions to automate manual tasks and improve engineering processes. You will also provide technical oversight and mentoring to ensure adherence to enterprise architectural strategies, collaborating with other DevOps Engineers to share tasks and solve problems effectively. Additionally, you will lead incident, problem, and event management support for our infrastructure and services, which may require rotating 24/7 support for critical incidents. Developing and maintaining robust monitoring and alerting systems will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that our systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Support core cloud infrastructure systems including Network, Servers, Active Directory, Linux/Windows Server OS, Web/API Servers, and Mongo DB.
• Design code-based solutions to automate manual tasks, routine DB operations, and business processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and infrastructure as code.
• Provide technical oversight direction and hands-on mentoring to ensure adherence to enterprise direction and architectural strategies.
• Collaborate with other DevOps Engineers on design, support task sharing, and problem solving.
• Lead incident, problem, and event management support of infrastructure, systems, and services, including rotating 24x7 support for critical incidents.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems such as Splunk, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Programming proficiency in two or more of the following languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, JSON, YAML, Ruby, Go, C#.
• Proficient with scripting infrastructure as code, including Cloud Formation and Terraform.
• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps / SRE Engineering experience with implementing and supporting core AWS services: EC2, Cloud Formation, S3, Cloud Watch, Inspector, and similar services in a 24x7 production environment.
• At least 3-5+ years of experience in supporting, implementing, and performance tuning Golang web-based solutions using MongoDB back-end architecture.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting CICD automation and configuration software systems such as Jenkins, Chef, Run Deck, and Ansible.
