About the position

The DevOps Manager at MAXIMUS is a critical role focused on safeguarding mission-critical systems for federal clients. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle, ensuring the reliability and security of systems, and leading a team in the development of innovative solutions through automation and DevSecOps tools.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and develop cutting-edge solutions through automation, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps tools.
  • Ensure infrastructure, services, and applications meet all standards, including security, monitoring, performance, and SLAs.
  • Support migration from physical infrastructure to virtual and advise on cloud migration.
  • Release production code and develop PaaS/SaaS solutions.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and automated infrastructure.
  • Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of applications.
  • Develop and maintain containerization and micro-services.
  • Standardize CloudFormation/Terraform templates for various environments.
  • Integrate security controls into the CI/CD process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Automate and orchestrate security processes using technologies like Splunk and Chef Automate.
  • Stay updated with emerging DevSecOps trends and provide recommendations for new technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a related field.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with Docker Enterprise, Splunk, Chef, Chef Automate, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Jenkins, and Python.
  • Experience in Red Hat OpenShift/Private Cloud Environment.
