The Senior Manager - DevOps role will be a part of the Global Product Engineering team at Iron Mountain, reporting to the Vice President - Global Platforms. Iron Mountain's Global Technology Organization is looking for a Senior Manager - DevOps who will be responsible for leading the InSight DevOps team and will be responsible for working with the DevOps and Development teams to deliver functionality in a quarterly release cycle. The position requires a strong leader capable of working with teams of engineers to define design and implementation for new capabilities. The manager is accountable for timely releases and meeting business deadlines, providing tradeoffs with the product team. The candidate has a strong background in design and delivery of service based functionality within the agile development lifecycle. The Manager has experience with micro service development for cloud-based services in highly performant systems. Experience with cloud deployments and architectures (GCP, Amazon, Azure), Cloud cost management and governance and experience with building observability features is required. An ideal candidate for this role must be a passionate, team-oriented problem solver who understands and differentiates between what users want vs. what they need to create industry leading solutions. He/She should demonstrate a hybrid of business and technical acumen and understanding of consumer centricity to enable digital experiences. The ideal leader will consistently lead by example, be a role model, and a strong change agent for your team and the larger technology team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design discussions about the technical implementation and consider the tradeoffs to support business value, scalability and delivery timeline.
- Guide the DevOps team in building effective CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (with zero to minimal human intervention required).
- Work with Enterprise Cloud Services teams to implement and build scalable systems.
- Handle security considerations, anticipate security risks.
- Manage configurations for SQL and Cloud based systems.
- Handle disaster recovery and support scenarios.
- Meet SOC/ISO, NIST and GDPR compliance requirements.
- Lead daily scrums and planning sessions with DevOps and Engineering team as a Technical Manager.
- Provide cloud architecture oversight and best practices.
- Work with third-parties and hyperscalers to integrate with InSight.
- Assist Sales/Pre-Sales and Professional Services teams with customer requests for proposals.
Requirements

- Familiarity with implementation design patterns and performance challenges.
- Experience in working with distributed teams.
- Overall experience of 8 plus years in Software Engineering space.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- 5 years of experience working with agile scrum methodologies.
- 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- 4 years of experience interfacing with and deploying services to cloud platforms.
- 5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS or Azure.
- 3 years working with Kubernetes in Cloud (AWS EKS or Google GKE or Azure AKS).
- Strong hands-on experience building enterprise scalable Kubernetes infrastructure.
- 3 years hands on experience with Terraform and Helm.
- Cloud network optimization.
- Experience in developing scalable micro services and API gateways.
- Experience with server oriented architectures and web platform applications with ability to define and integrate with APIs and REST services.
- Architectural governance and security review experience.
- Experience with agile tools such as Atlassian JIRA, GitLab or Github.
- Mastery of code repositories such as subversion / git and artifactory repos.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Masters degree is a plus.
- Cloud DevOps certification preferred, but not required.
