You will be responsible for designing and enabling application support, managing production farms, and overseeing various infrastructure platforms for different delivery teams. As a subject matter expert, you will design and build scalable and efficient infrastructure platforms while establishing best practices and cultivating thought leadership within the organization. Your contributions will help develop robust practices and solutions for our infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps and cloud technologies, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions through automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and management of applications and infrastructure. Your role will also involve mentoring and guiding team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the DevOps practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and enable application support for various delivery teams.
• Manage production farms and infrastructure platforms.
• Design and build scalable and efficient infrastructure platforms as a subject matter expert.
• Establish best practices and cultivate thought leadership in DevOps practices.
• Develop robust solutions for infrastructure management and automation.
• Mentor and guide team members in DevOps methodologies and practices.

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in DevOps.
• Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology or Master's in Engineering/Computer Applications.
• Expertise in cloud tools such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficient in version control systems like Git, Gitlab, and Github.
• Experience with container infrastructure tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and Cloud Formation.
• Familiarity with build tools like Ant, Maven, Make, and Gradle.
• Experience with artifact repositories like Nexus and JFrog Artifactory.
• Proficient in CI tools such as Jenkins and TeamCity.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools like CloudWatch, ELK, and Splunk.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Ant, Bash, and Shell.
• Hands-on experience in designing pipelines and pipeline as code.
• Experience in end-to-end deployment processes and strategies.
• Good exposure to tools and technologies for building container-based infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS/AZURE for network subnets, instance launches, and load balancer creation in production environments.
• Expertise in installation, configuration, automation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and availability management of servers and databases.
• Knowledge of load balancing options provided by cloud vendors.
• Good understanding of network algorithms for failover and availability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and capability to write complex code for automation tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Good working knowledge of Linux Operating System.
• Experience with content delivery networks and performing root cause analysis.
• Understanding of database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases like Cassandra and MongoDB.
• Experience in capacity planning and infrastructure estimations.
• Working knowledge of scripting in languages such as BASH, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
