About the position

As a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in harnessing the power of cloud technologies to enhance the design, development, and deployment of the SIGINT mission platform. Your expertise in building, managing, and securing container platforms will be essential in addressing some of our clients' most challenging needs. You will be responsible for developing and managing container management software, ensuring that it meets the requirements of our clients while leveraging the latest cloud capabilities. In this position, you will streamline the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to monitoring in production. You will utilize cutting-edge cloud technologies to improve client environments through current container software, ensuring seamless orchestration. Your technical knowledge will allow you to work directly with clients to inform strategy and design, while maintaining high standards throughout the containerization process using Amazon Web Services (AWS), software integration, and cloud architecture, particularly with Kubernetes. You will recommend tools such as Kubernetes to help clients manage and securely adopt containers, while also expanding your skills in areas like Containerization and Microservices. This role is pivotal in transforming the SIGINT mission platform with advanced cloud platform technology, and we are looking for someone ready to take on this challenge and make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and secure container platforms to meet client needs.
  • Streamline the software development life cycle from requirements to production monitoring.
  • Utilize cloud technologies to improve client environments with container software.
  • Work directly with clients to inform strategy and design for containerization processes.
  • Ensure standards are met throughout the containerization process using AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Recommend and implement tools such as Kubernetes for container management.
  • Develop critical cloud platforms for clients, focusing on automation and orchestration.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience supporting Cloud applications or infrastructure.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server or network configurations.
  • Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience.
  • Experience scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
  • Experience with system integration using protocols like JSON, REST, and XML.
  • Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
  • Experience with the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Model.
  • Cloud Certification, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, or MCSE - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
