About the position
The DevOps Software Engineer II at Worldpay is responsible for maintaining and automating AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi. This role involves working within an Agile, SAFe development environment alongside a team of architects, developers, QA analysts, and product owners to deliver high-quality products and enhancements. The engineer will also be involved in project management decisions and ensure that software development processes are followed effectively.
Responsibilities
- Maintain & automate AWS infrastructure via Terraform and Pulumi.
- Experience in containerization technology (e.g. Docker, EKS).
- Setup, build and manage CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub actions, kpack and XLDeploy).
- Provide technical support/consultation to development teams.
- Understand team objectives and ensure the team is on track to achieve Sprint / PI Goals.
- Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and demos.
- Develop or execute project plans, budgets, and schedules, and document work and results.
- Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of professional work experience as a DevOps / Cloud Engineer.
- Experience in K8s (containerization technology) and Terraform (infrastructure as code).
- Experience in AWS infrastructure management and automation.
- Experience in one or more coding/scripting languages (ReactJS, C#, Python, Bash).
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Linux System Fundamentals knowledge.
- Experience with CI-CD automation and deployment.
- Knowledge around monitoring, alerting & logging (Splunk).
- Experience in Configuration Management (Ansible).
- Experience with WebLogic and MS IIS.
Nice-to-haves
