About the position

The DevOps/SRE Engineer position at Ascendion focuses on operational excellence within an agile engineering team. The role is centered on improving platform hardening, compliance, and automation to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and manage SLAs and SLOs.
• Drive initiatives that enhance infrastructure.
• Develop features related to scripting, automation, deployments, DevOps, pipelines, and integrations.
• Collaborate with platform teams to improve operational excellence.
• Participate in Technical Recovery Exercises (TREx) to enhance service outage response.
• Provide consulting services to address platform issues and enhance platform hardening.

Requirements

• Experience with SRE/DevOps, AWS, SQL, Splunk, New Relic, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles, including SLAs and SLOs.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in agile engineering teams.
• Knowledge of incident and problem management processes.
