About the position

The DevOps Technical Lead at QTS is responsible for providing technical leadership to a remote team of DevOps engineers. This role focuses on the automation, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the Services Delivery Platform web applications, ensuring efficient and scalable operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a team of 4 remote DevOps engineers.
• Focus on automation and building scalable and extendable pipelines for development teams.
• Manage AWS assets and oversee AWS cost management.
• Create infrastructure and pipelines for new services using SpringBoot, Python, and Angular.
• Deploy services across DEV, STAGE, and PROD environments.
• Manage installation and configuration of solutions.
• Troubleshoot failure cases in Dev/UAT and Prod environments.
• Monitor health and metrics using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch tools.
• Refactor pipelines and scripts to enhance stability and reusability.
• Document approaches and solutions utilized in projects.
• Participate in discussions to support developer applications and needs.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Participate in the release management process across development teams.
• Deploy code and troubleshoot any arising issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of DevOps experience with a focus on Microservices deployment and maintenance.
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of portal software, design, and development.
• Experience in technical leadership of offshore DevOps personnel.

Nice-to-haves

• 4 to 5 years of experience working inside a DevOps organization.
• Prior experience determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
• Good technical documentation skills.
