The DevOps Engineer position at Raytheon is a critical role within the Digital Technology team, focusing on designing, implementing, and supporting DevOps solutions for key programs.   • Leverage company best practices to assist programs with deployment and support of DevSecOps software solutions.
  • Support software tool customization and automation, including development of templates, dashboards, and scripts.
  • Assist engineering teams with software build/test pipeline automation and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Maximize solution performance and reliability through proactive testing and issue mitigation.
  • Develop and validate fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans for tool infrastructure.
  • Administer and maintain the security and compliance of tooling solutions, including hardening and patching.
  • Document implemented DevOps environments by authoring procedures and work instructions.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • System administration experience in Linux based systems.
  • Experience installing and supporting server-based DevOps tools such as Jira, Git, BitBucket, GitLab, Confluence, Coverity, Jenkins, IBM Rational products, and Microsoft Azure DevOps Server.
  • Experience working with development teams using Agile concepts and methodologies.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • Active and current Secret Clearance
  • Experience with legacy source code tools like ClearCase, Synergy, SVN
  • Familiarity with systems and software engineering tools such as MATLAB, Visual Studio, VxWorks/Windriver, QT, BigLever Gears, Python, and DOORS
  • Experience with container technology (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu)
  • Familiarity with relational databases and ability to support/troubleshoot data backup and validation activities.
