About the position

The Senior DevOps Transformation Engineer is responsible for managing AWS infrastructure and automating deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices. This role bridges development and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of software products in a cloud ecosystem, while implementing best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain AWS footprints
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance
  • Automate deployment processes
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and deployments
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in DevOps

Requirements

  • High school/GED required; Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant discipline preferred
  • Expertise in hybrid/on-premises technologies such as NetApp, VMware, Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5
  • Experience developing and implementing digital transformation strategies
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Advanced experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services
  • Any AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Certification (developer, solution architect, networking, infrastructure) preferred
  • Strong experience with AWS services and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply independent judgement on most decisions, and to work with minimal guidance
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking
  • Experience in team leadership
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments
