About the position

The DevSecOps Administrator at Royce Geo is responsible for streamlining the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production monitoring. This role involves implementing automation, integrating open-source tools, and utilizing cloud resources to enhance efficiency and innovation within the development team. The position also focuses on improving system monitoring and maintaining security protocols, ultimately contributing to national security and the GEOINT community.

Responsibilities

  • Automate and optimize service deployments
  • Integrate with enterprise authentication services
  • Establish and improve system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within development, test, and production systems
  • Apply configuration management disciplines to maintain container software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of designs/configurations, ensuring team members have continuity of recurring tasks
  • Create and determine required metrics for dashboards and service health
  • Follow up on engineering tasks for operational solutions, and validate completion

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI poly
  • 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes
  • 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, and deploy custom container images and accelerate the software development lifecycle
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps pipeline tools and technologies, including Chef, Jenkins, Ansible, and Kubernetes
  • 3+ years of experience building custom container images and platforms
  • Strong understanding of using Docker as well as Docker Compose, Install, and Update to manage images and containers
  • Experience with Container Registry
  • Capable of defining and configuring pipelines via YAML files
  • Experienced in defining and managing compute instances, various types of storage, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
  • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), specifically with certificates and keys
  • Experienced in managing non-person-entity (NPE) certificates and installation on servers
  • 2+ years of experience applying configuration management disciplines to maintain container software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentation
  • Must possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised
  • 3+ years experience using cloud technologies, Amazon is preferred but Google Cloud and Azure will be considered.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basis
  • Experience with systems administration in both Windows and Linux systems
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
  • AWS Associate Certification
