About the position

The DevSecOps Application Security Specialist at Deloitte's Government and Public Services Cyber Practice will enhance security tools integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for a Government agency as part of an IT Modernization program. This role is pivotal in advising, implementing, and managing security solutions across various domains, contributing to a cyber-minded culture and helping organizations become more innovative and resilient against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise to support and enhance security tools integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Assess vulnerabilities using tools like Nessus.
  • Work with access controls such as SAML, OAUTH2, and OpenID Connect.
  • Implement and manage next-generation security controls to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure security is integrated across modernized infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
  • 2+ years experience as a Software Developer with a focus on security architecture.
  • 2+ years experience assessing vulnerabilities within Nessus.
  • 2+ years experience working with access controls such as SAML, OAUTH2, and OpenID Connect.
  • 2+ years experience with container security and familiarity with NIST 800-190 guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience.
  • Experience with Prisma Cloud.
  • Experience in mobile and endpoint security.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP.
