About the position

The DevSecOps Architect at Maximus Services, LLC is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while ensuring the security and efficiency of applications within the CodeShuttle platform. This role requires a strong background in Kubernetes and DevSecOps best practices, focusing on automation processes and collaboration with development teams to enhance the deployment and management of cloud resources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the automation processes for daily activities, build activities, and new feature and functionality with public and private cloud.
  • Interact with other team members and groups within the IT organization.
  • Help enforce the standards for server builds and services deployed in AWS and the private cloud by the cloud solutions teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitLab.
  • Ensure the security of CodeShuttle applications by integrating security practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are built, tested, and deployed efficiently within the CodeShuttle platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date on the latest DevSecOps trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong background in Kubernetes and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitLab.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of GovCloud and Federal Cloud (JAB).
  • Experience with programming languages such as NodeJS, VueJS, Ansible, Gradle, Groovy, Maven, Ant, Helm, Jinja, and Packer.
  • Experience with database change management tools such as Liquibase.
  • Experience with artifact repositories such as Nexus.
  • Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of security standards such as NIST, OpenSCAP, and STIG.
