About the position
The DevSecOps CI/CD Software Engineer at Nightwing plays a crucial role in supporting the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) activities for advanced cybersecurity capabilities. This position involves working on both individual and team projects, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of DevSecOps solutions within a hybrid cloud environment. The engineer will also contribute to system security documentation and assist application teams in onboarding to Kubernetes platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work independently on individual projects while collaborating on larger team projects with minimal supervision.
- Support the development of system security documentation for new and deployed DevSecOps solutions.
- Develop new DevSecOps capabilities and support operations and maintenance of deployed solutions.
- Build, test, and administer Kubernetes clusters, including Amazon EKS and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Assist application teams with onboarding to a Kubernetes platform, including resource requirements and troubleshooting support.
- Translate customer requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Active Secret (S) clearance; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance and DHS Suitability.
- 8+ years of applicable experience in software engineering.
- 4+ years of directly relevant experience in AWS, Enterprise Linux, Kubernetes (OpenShift or EKS), Container Development, Ansible or Chef Development, Pipeline Development, Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, Twistlock, Cloudbees, Terraform, CloudWatch, Docker.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Lambda.
- Experience with database technologies like Oracle or MySQL.
