About the position

Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking a proven Senior DevSecOps Cloud Engineer to join the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) program and the opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the Army delivers IT services and make use of data and analytics to meet mission requirements. The CETS program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Army ECMA to support overall strategy and migration to the cARMY environment up to Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL) 6. This position is your opportunity to utilize your skills and background as a Senior DevSecOps Cloud Engineer and deliver support to the warfighting mission with cutting edge cloud application migration and business process refinement for the US Army. This position is contingent upon contract award which is expected February 2025. This position is a hybrid position; however, candidate must be able to be on customer site at Fort Belvoir when needed within 24 hours so must be within 250 miles to the Fort Belvoir, VA area.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible.
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
  • Provide Source Control Management/Documentation, create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts.
  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
  • Support full automation of CI/testing.
  • Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
  • Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
  • Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
  • Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of product.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate and save time.
  • Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
  • Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
  • Fifteen (15) years' experience in designing and implementing information management systems may substitute for academic degree.
  • Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
  • Must have a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification.
  • 10 years experience designing and implementing information management systems.
  • 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience in technical research and development that enables continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
  • 3 years, within the past 5 years of demonstrated experience in product development, to include direct control and responsibility over subordinate developers working the development of a web-based as well as data intensive system.
  • 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in DevOps and/or continuous delivery environment using automated deployment and testing frameworks.
  • 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure), containers, server-less architecture, micro-services, web services, and RESTful API design.
