About the position

The DevSecOps Cloud Engineer at Gray Analytics is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructures primarily on Azure and AWS. This role emphasizes security integration into the development lifecycle and requires collaboration with the DevSecOps team to ensure compliance with DoD standards. The engineer will support various projects, focusing on creating scalable and resilient cloud solutions while leading security initiatives and optimizing cloud performance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy secure cloud solutions on Azure and AWS, ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements.
• Design and implement cloud-native architectures using Azure and AWS services.
• Lead security initiatives within the cloud environment, including vulnerability management and compliance auditing.
• Collaborate with the DevSecOps team to refine CI/CD pipelines and integrate security testing.
• Conduct regular performance and security assessments of cloud infrastructures.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Azure Resource Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with expertise in Azure and AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
