About the position

SAIC is seeking a proven Senior DevSecOps Cloud Engineer to join the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) program. This role presents an exciting opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the Army delivers IT services, leveraging data and analytics to meet mission requirements. The CETS program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Army ECMA, supporting overall strategy and migration to the cARMY environment up to Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL) 6. As a Senior DevSecOps Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering support to the warfighting mission through cutting-edge cloud application migration and business process refinement for the US Army. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment. Your work will enable development teams to deliver features efficiently. You will also maintain and develop continuous build/integration infrastructure, provide Source Control Management/Documentation, and create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments. Additionally, you will support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance, ensuring full automation of CI/testing. Your role will involve supporting policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and the work of developers. You will enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production. Collaboration with software developers, production support, and information security will be essential to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms. You will provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and ensure reliable operations. Continuous identification of opportunities to automate and save time will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. This position is contingent upon contract award, expected in February 2025, and requires local presence at Fort Belvoir, VA, when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.

  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
  • Ensure full automation of CI/testing processes.
  • Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for CI/CD operations and developer work.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
  • 15 years' experience in designing and implementing information management systems may substitute for academic degree.
  • 10 years experience designing and implementing information management systems.
  • 3 years of experience in technical research and development enabling continuing innovation within the infrastructure, within the past 5 years.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in product development, including direct control and responsibility over subordinate developers working on web-based and data-intensive systems, within the past 5 years.
  • 3 years of experience with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in DevOps and/or continuous delivery environments using automated deployment and testing frameworks, within the past 5 years.
  • 3 years of experience with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure), containers, server-less architecture, micro-services, web services, and RESTful API design, within the past 5 years.
  • Must have a Secret clearance.
  • Must have a CISSP or CCSP certification.
