About the position

The DevSecOps Cloud Engineer at ARA plays a crucial role in supporting national security initiatives by developing and maintaining technology that enables military wargamers to simulate various scenarios. This position involves working within a collaborative team to enhance cloud infrastructure, automate processes, and ensure the security and efficiency of production environments. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence two days a week in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools for military wargaming simulations.
• Update and improve existing cloud infrastructure.
• Perform continuous monitoring of production environments.
• Enhance developer experience through automation.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 8-10 years of experience or a Master's Degree with 6-8 years of experience.
• 4+ years of AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• 4+ years of experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab, GitHub, Atlassian, or similar).
• 2+ years of experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, or similar).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) strongly preferred.
