About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a DevSecOps - Deployment Engineer to develop automated pipelines for cloud environments and support automated build, test, and release deployments. This role is crucial for enhancing analytic modeling capabilities and ensuring user adoption. The position involves hands-on experience with cloud-native applications, container orchestration, and micro-service architecture, all within a flexible work environment that values work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated pipelines for cloud environments.
• Support automated build, test, and release deployments.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (BS) plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a DevSecOps culture supporting CI/CD of containerized applications.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and helm charts.
• Experience with Docker and container management tools.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code development.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent configuration management tools.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale applications using cloud infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• CAC card with NGA Core experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Security+ 8570 certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD tools.
• Strong Linux and Networking background.
• Experience with SWIG and software development in Java.
