About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the security and efficiency of our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. This position requires collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that our software development lifecycle is not only efficient but also secure. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and sustaining Agile technical platform teams and CI/CD pipelines, which are essential for the rapid deployment of software solutions. In this role, the engineer will develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automate configurations within Kubernetes, ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is robust and secure. The position also involves supporting cloud networking and routing for DNS, TLS, and Ingress/Egress, which are critical for maintaining secure communications and data integrity. Additionally, the engineer will maintain and harden base images, providing a secure foundation for our applications. The DevSecOps Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in application monitoring and logging formalities, offering guidance to customer solution teams on best practices for metric analysis and tool aggregation. This role is vital for ensuring that our applications are not only functional but also secure and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Agile technical platform team/CICD pipelines implementation and sustainment.
  • Develops GitLab CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Automates configurations within Kubernetes.
  • Supports cloud networking and routing for DNS, TLS, and Ingress/Egress.
  • Maintains and hardens Base Images.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in application monitoring for customer solution teams.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in logging formalities, aggregation tools, and basic metric analysis for customer solution teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a similar science and engineering discipline OR 4+ years of work experience.
  • 4+ years experience with SW development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) DevSecOps (DSO), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • 4+ years experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI) and practices.
  • Knowledge of Helm, Kubernetes, Python, Linux, front-end development, and back-end development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strongly preferred experience with Splunk, Loki, Prometheus, CloudWatch.
