About the position

Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Deployment Engineer to work on developing automated pipelines for cloud environments and support automated build, test, and release deployments. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in our team dedicated to facilitating and ensuring widespread user adoption of Analytic Modeling capabilities to enhance the analytic mission. This position is hybrid, requiring a split between onsite work in San Diego, CA, and remote work. As a DevSecOps Deployment Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience with developer productivity, cloud-native applications, and container orchestration. A solid understanding of micro-service architecture, container development, orchestration, service messages, and security is essential. You will be responsible for supporting teams in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of containerized applications and automating orchestration using Kubernetes. Your role will also involve deploying enterprise-scale applications to production using cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring that the solutions meet customer needs and priorities while adapting to new technologies quickly. Responsibilities

  • Develop automated pipelines for cloud environments.
  • Support automated build, test, and release deployments.
  • Facilitate user adoption of Analytic Modeling capabilities.
  • Work with developer productivity and cloud-native applications.
  • Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for containerized applications.
  • Automate orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Deploy enterprise-scale applications to production using cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand customer needs and priorities.
  • Learn new technologies quickly and adapt solutions accordingly.
  • Automate menial tasks to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (BS) plus 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps culture and supporting teams for CI/CD of containerized applications.
  • Experience with helm charts.
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management tools.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Basic understanding of scripting & software development packages for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent configuration management tools.
  • Experience with container management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience deploying enterprise-scale applications to production using cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams and functions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • CAC card with NGA Core experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Security+ 8570 certification.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
  • AWS or similar Cloud Provider Experience.
  • Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, Redis.
  • Experience using GitLab or other CI/CD tools.
  • Strong Linux and Networking background.
