About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer 2 position at By Light Professional IT Services LLC focuses on enhancing and securing development pipeline tools for a next-generation collective training software system. The role involves automating deployments, integrating various technologies, and ensuring enterprise monitoring capabilities, all while supporting the operations side of DevSecOps in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with security processes and scanning tools.
• Remediate findings from security scans and integrate software for collective training hardware.
• Develop enterprise deployment and execution monitoring capabilities for training systems.
• Collaborate with development scrum product owners to automate builds, tests, and security checks.
• Administer servers using Containerization/Pod tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in developing, integrating, and testing capabilities in complex environments.
• Experience in Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in automation and deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Experience with CI/CD toolsets like Bamboo and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a software development team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
• Experience using Containerization Tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
