About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer 3 position at Auria involves supporting the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program by developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and platform as a service capabilities. The role requires collaboration with other engineers and teams to manage multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment, utilizing leading DevOps practices and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and platform as a service capabilities.
  • Assist in managing multiple environments and software deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and automate processes in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Collaborate with other DevSecOps engineers and program development teams.
  • Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
  • Propose system administration process improvements to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine system requirements and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Requirements

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 5 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master of Science degree; or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Effective communication skills with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to work independently and as an SME on large projects.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Nexus.
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including VMware.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
