About the position

Auria is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer 3 to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role involves developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities, managing multiple environments, and automating processes in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other engineers and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities.
  • Manage multiple environments and software deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot and automate processes in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Work independently on large projects and collaborate with other DevSecOps engineers and program teams.
  • Understand HP server configuration and address systems administration-related hardware and software issues.
  • Support the deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
  • Propose system administration process improvements to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine systems requirements and ensure hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions and provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Requirements

  • An active SECRET clearance is required to start.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred with 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is required to start.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation and knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
  • Familiarity with leading DevOps practices and tooling such as Ansible Automation Platform, HashiCorp Packer and Vault, Gitlab CI/CD, and Nexus Pro.
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including VMware.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
