About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role in Alpharetta, GA focuses on providing security oversight and support to development teams, particularly in the context of migrating services from mainframe systems to the cloud. The position requires a strong background in AWS and security assessments, with an emphasis on collaboration and influence within Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide security oversight and assist development Scrum/Flex teams.
• Work on the Mainframe Modernization project with scrum/flex teams.
• Review services as the scrum team prepares to migrate them from the mainframe.
• Perform security assessments on each service, considering corporate security standards, PCI requirements, and AWS best practices.
• Define new security standards for new services and share them with the Cloud Security team.
• Conduct threat-modeling and risk analysis.
• Provide training on security standards and practices.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with AWS.
• 5+ years of experience in application or infrastructure architecture.
• Experience working in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment.
• Willingness to help define security standards for multiple teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
