About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer Associate position at SAIC is an entry-level role focused on supporting the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of secure Cloud products and services. The role involves working closely with development teams to automate and streamline processes, ensuring efficient delivery of features in a Cloud-based environment. The position is remote and is ideal for candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Computer Science or a related field, graduating in May 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
  • Assist in Source Control Management/Documentation and participate in creating and maintaining fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; assist in writing, building, and deploying scripts.
  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
  • Assist in supporting full automation of CI/testing.
  • Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work.
  • Support successful release management by assisting in moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
  • Collaborate with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
  • Provide support and assist in applying agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to automate tasks and save time.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Computer Science or a related engineering field, graduating in May 2025.
  • U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT or computer science field.
