About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer - Associate at Boeing is responsible for supporting the development of new principles and concepts in DevSecOps practices. This role involves working alongside subject matter experts to develop and configure the DevSecOps environment, integrate various software factories, and create dashboards for monitoring and reporting. The position is integral to enhancing the security and efficiency of software development processes within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new principles and concepts in DevSecOps practices.
  • Assist in the configuration of the DevSecOps environment.
  • Integrate various DevSecOps software factories.
  • Develop and configure dashboards for the DevSecOps software factory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or equivalent technical education and experience.
  • 2 or more years of related work experience in DevSecOps or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of GitLab, Ansible Vault, Terraform, Kubernetes with PODMAN, and Palo Alto Prisma.
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and software factory dashboards.
  • Ability to implement build pipelines with GitLab CI/CD for software and infrastructure builds.
  • Experience in creating, automating, and executing test scripts using automated test frameworks (e.g., pytest, JUnit).
  • Familiarity with software version control (Git).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a Linux environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • DoD IA Workforce Certifications; CompTIA, Sec+, ISC2 CISSP or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, Python, C++).
  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and container technologies (e.g., Podman).
  • Knowledge of RESTful patterns.
  • Interest in learning and applying reverse engineering skills.
  • Experience with the GMD program and Model Based Systems Engineering.
