About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer will be a key member of the Agile Solution Factory Team at CACI, focusing on the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical applications supporting Customs and Border Protection. This role emphasizes collaboration within an Agile Scrum team to enhance software deployment processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team to support the customer's mission and growth objectives.
  • Deploy and maintain the DevOps infrastructure for mission-critical applications, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with architects, technical leads, software developers, testers, and stakeholders to automate software build, configurations, and deployment processes.
  • Install, configure, and maintain tools for source control management, continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, and security.
  • Develop and maintain automated software build processes using various tools and technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Administer and maintain the application stack including Spring Boot and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Integrate database changes into the DevOps process using CI/CD tools like Liquibase.
  • Create project resource estimates and metrics to track project completion, defects, and development efficiency.
  • Contribute to a cross-functional teamwork atmosphere within the Agile project lifecycle.
  • Support and deployments may require off-hours work.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (7+ years).
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, and Harness.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and GitLab.
  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS and/or Google Cloud.
  • Ability to design and document technical solutions for CI/CD processes.
  • Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Exposure to certificate management for issuing and renewing certificates.
