As a DevSecOps Engineer for the Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of our nation's defense against ballistic missile threats. The GWS is integral to the Missile Defense System, processing data from various sensors to identify and characterize incoming threats, plan defensive solutions, and launch intercepting missiles. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, where you will be exposed to a variety of projects and customers, contributing to the development of next-generation strategic deterrent capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the unification and automation of processes that enable software development across the entire GWS system. Your expertise will be essential in combining code, application maintenance, and management, all while adhering to the principles of DevSecOps. You will need to have a strong understanding of the development lifecycle, including the various transactions that occur within pipelines, scanning tools, and deployments. Your proactive approach will involve actively interfacing with DevSecOps and engineering teams to optimize processes and ensure consistency in tools and standards. Additionally, you will create and maintain fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) build processes, which will require you to write builds and deployment scripts. This position requires a commitment to working in an in-person, closed-area environment 100% of the time, ensuring that you are fully engaged with your team and the projects at hand. Lockheed Martin values collaboration, excellence, and integrity, and as part of our team, you will work alongside talented professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of defense technology.
