BAE Systems is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to work on developing automated pipelines for virtual environments and support automated build, test and release deployments. The selected candidate will have an important role on our team dedicated to supporting our design and implementation of a data fabric for an integrated networked enterprise application with cloud resources. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will have hands-on experiences with developer productivity, virtual and cloud-native applications, and container orchestration. You will need to understand micro-service architecture, container development, orchestration, service messages, and security. In this role, you will design, write, and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network. You will build automated DevOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab and AWS, and develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment such as Docker. Participation in the development of advanced CI/CD processes to support deployments is also a key responsibility. You will work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters and maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. Additionally, you will automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency and repeatability, while finding opportunities for innovation by leveraging new cutting-edge technologies and tools. This position requires collaboration across domains to maintain applications in sync and operational. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
