About the position

BAE Systems is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to work on developing automated pipelines for virtual environments and support automated build, test, and release deployments. The selected candidate will play a crucial role on our team dedicated to supporting the design and implementation of a data fabric for an integrated networked enterprise application with cloud resources. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will have hands-on experience with developer productivity, virtual and cloud-native applications, and container orchestration. You will need to understand micro-service architecture, container development, orchestration, service messages, and security. You will build automated DevOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab and AWS, and develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application in a container-based environment such as Docker. You will participate in the development of advanced CI/CD processes to support deployments and work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, you will maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency and repeatability, and find opportunities for innovation by leveraging new cutting-edge technologies and tools. This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, taking the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
