About the position
As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in modernizing IT infrastructures for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks, effectively harnessing the power of the cloud. You will collaborate closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configurations for modern cloud solutions, ensuring that our clients can meet their most challenging missions. This position offers an opportunity to sharpen your skills within a DevOps framework, where you will establish or provision virtual machines or networks and utilize cloud service providers to further our clients' meaningful missions. In this role, you will be expected to develop tools and processes that drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across various environments. You will also troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflows. Your experience with Linux system administration and scripting will be essential, as will your proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Java. Additionally, you will be involved in developing enterprise cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes, and will need to have a solid understanding of provisioning computer networking and storage, as well as setting up servers, including virtual machines or networks. To succeed in this position, you must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, and a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in DevOps can substitute for the degree. This role is ideal for someone who is an active learner, thinks analytically, and can work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and adaptability.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
- Experience with troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
- Experience with Linux system administration and scripting.
- Experience with software development using high-level programming languages, including Python, Bash, or Java.
- Experience with developing enterprise cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of provisioning computer networking and storage and setting up servers, including virtual machines or networks.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree.
