About the position

Parsons is seeking a talented Journeyman DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to solve unusually complex problems, providing highly creative solutions. You will work with minimal consultative direction towards predetermined long-range plans and objectives, contributing to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Your expertise will be crucial in advising and counseling the organization, as well as in establishing long-range plans and objectives. As a leader of a technically and experientially diverse team, you will design, research, and develop highly advanced applications that contribute to new product and business opportunities. You will also participate in efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings. This position may involve other responsibilities as appropriate, ensuring that you are engaged in a variety of tasks that leverage your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex problems.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Work with minimal consultative direction towards long-range plans and objectives.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the organization in your area of expertise.
  • Establish long-range plans and objectives based on your experience.
  • Lead a technically and experientially diverse team.
  • Design, research, and develop advanced applications for new product/business opportunities.
  • Participate in efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • IAT Level II certification.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience designing and implementing information management systems.
  • Three years of experience in technical research and development within the past five years.
  • Three years of demonstrated experience in product development within the past five years, including direct control over subordinate developers.
  • Three years of experience with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps environment within the past five years.
  • Three years of experience with commercial cloud service providers (AWS or Microsoft Azure), containers, server-less architecture, micro-services, web services, and RESTful API design within the past five years.
