About the position

Global InfoTek, Inc. is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our customers, particularly within the Air Force organization, where customer satisfaction is paramount. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to solving high-impact problems and enhancing operational effectiveness through innovative technology solutions. Your contributions will directly influence the development and deployment of best-of-breed technologies that address critical cyber and advanced technology needs. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in agile and DevSecOps methodologies to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for various implementations. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your role will also involve building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment, which includes hundreds of applications. You will work with cloud systems and architectures, including Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, and utilize your knowledge of Linux and scripting languages such as Bash and Python. Additionally, you will have extensive experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible. Your development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm will be crucial in configuring and using CI/CD automated pipelines effectively. Responsibilities

  • Support customers by developing and maintaining containerized applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Work with cloud systems and architectures such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Utilize scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation tasks.
  • Collaborate with high-performing teams on multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.
  • Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
  • Development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Istio.
  • Ability to work on high-performing teams supporting multiple projects.
