About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer Lead will oversee the Toolchain Operations team, playing a vital role in enhancing the DevOps software delivery lifecycle. This position focuses on supporting and advancing modern tools and workflows to enable development teams to efficiently scale cloud software offerings while ensuring high quality and rapid release cycles. The role involves managing the software lifecycle and deployment of USSF Cloud Initiatives to improve performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and evaluating various DevOps tools, including CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, configuration management tools, monitoring platforms, and cloud infrastructure services.
• Support the design of the overall architecture of the DevOps toolchain, ensuring seamless integration between different tools and optimizing workflows.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of chosen DevOps tools across the organization, configuring and customizing them to meet project requirements.
• Continuously monitor the performance of the DevOps toolchain, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to ensure optimal performance.
• Drive automation initiatives across the toolchain, standardizing processes and practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field, with nine (9)+ years of overall experience.
• Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Solid scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Premetheus, Grafana).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Zero Trust, identity management, and automated security monitoring.
• Experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience with continuous deployment.
• DevOps management certifications (e.g Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, Kubernetes Certification).

• Competitive salary range of $120,001 - $160,000 based on experience and other factors.
