About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer - Messaging / Streaming role focuses on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, specifically in messaging and streaming solutions. This position is crucial for leading cloud engineering implementations in collaboration with System IT and foundational teams, ensuring the provision of highly scalable and resilient infrastructure to support cloud transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud native messaging and streaming solutions for high-volume transaction environments.
• Collaborate with architects to build and automate messaging infrastructure capabilities to support system-wide integrations.
• Engage with other infrastructure engineers to build modularized terraform infrastructure as code (IaC) templates to standardize implementations.
• Work with architects, developers, and technical support teams to ensure successful deployment of Cloud application services within a managed service environment.
• Collaborate with System IT partners to enhance cloud technological capabilities to meet business requirements.
• Develop advanced cloud strategies for streamlined support and direction for new engagements.
• Contribute to innovation and help anchor Proof of Concepts to assess service fitness.
• Assess foundational services, integration services, cloud operations, and management capabilities.
• Plan and deliver in an Agile environment.
• Communicate clearly and honestly within and outside the squads.
• Solve complex problems as they arise.
• Produce comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 6-10 years of cloud engineering experience.
• Experience building and managing enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience on AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Specialized expertise in building modularized terraform infrastructure as code (IaC) templates.
• Specialized expertise with messaging and streaming solutions using AWS Kafka, MQ, Kinesis, SQS, SNS services.
• Strong hands-on experience with various AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache.
• Strong hands-on expertise with container implementations using ECS, EKS, Docker.
• Proven experience in setting up DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, Ansible Tower, Maven, Code Commit, Code Pipeline, and Code Build services.
• Extensive expertise in building highly available/fault-tolerant enterprise class infrastructure with multiple-region and multi-AZ models.
• Working knowledge of implementing cloud identity and access management solutions.
• Working knowledge and experience with DevSecOps operating model.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Development experience using Python and/or Java preferred.
• Proven experience translating architectural plans and business requirements into infrastructure implementations.
• Self-starter with the ability to effectively plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
